Biography

Chris Davies is a 32 year old, English, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer. He started his career as an apprentice toolmaker, put himself through college to gain his degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (including Hydraulics, Pneumatics).

His career path took an interesting direction when he began building Special Purpose Machines for Blue Chip companies including Sony, Panasonic, Hitachi, Wrigleys to name but a few. The machines were on the forefront of technology including the use of Robotics, Lasers, and Ultrasonic technology, he followed his creations from design to installation.

After marrying an American girl he now resides in Croton on Hudson, NY where he spawns his latest creations with pride. His career has now taken another change of direction. His passion for automation, welding and fabrication has taken him to a new level - ART. Whilst serving New York as a competent designer, welder and fabricator, he finds that the requests for Steel Sculptures are becoming more and more frequent. His work has always been creative, (especially building robotic machinery), but now he has a blank canvas to work with and a passion for steel - the perfect combination.
